In this session, participants will learn how to leverage the power of video to help students of all abilities and subject areas share their knowledge and explain themselves clearly to an audience through the creation of nonfiction video stories. See case studies, get tech tips, and learn best practices.

Learn how to use audio storytelling to enhance learning and provide purpose with student-created podcasts. Learn the steps of producing a podcast, including building a series, writing for audio, and learning technical things you'll need to record and edit. Participants will see sample lessons and demos and begin planning their own podcast series.

Participants will learn about the Project Approach and discover how it is implemented in a high-impact, standards-based, interdisciplinary curriculum with students in preschool and kindergarten. Presenters will share examples of lessons that harness student curiosity using inquiry and experience. They’ll share strategies for creating a classroom culture of learning from one another. Finally, presenters will guide participants to brainstorm a project topic and generate a plan for teaching an in-depth investigation by moving through the phases of the Project Approach.
