Come join us for fun games that help all ages PK-HS practice their mathematical skills. You can use Q card and other fun games to build fluency, preview some foundational skills, or just add them to your math workshop. Participants will get a bag of games to talke home and use in their classrooms.

In this session, we will delve into the cognitive processes involved in how the brain learns to read. We'll explore the neurological mechanisms behind reading acquisition, examining how the brain processes written language and the stages of development involved. This session will provide valuable insights into the science of reading, offering practical strategies to support effective literacy instruction based on our understanding of brain function.

Participants will learn about the Project Approach and discover how it is implemented in a high-impact, standards-based, interdisciplinary curriculum with students in preschool and kindergarten. Presenters will share examples of lessons that harness student curiosity using inquiry and experience. They’ll share strategies for creating a classroom culture of learning from one another. Finally, presenters will guide participants to brainstorm a project topic and generate a plan for teaching an in-depth investigation by moving through the phases of the Project Approach.
