How can students creatively share their learning? Multimedia creations help students share their learning with a variety of options. In this session, explore the power of ebooks for capturing student learning across subject areas and grade levels -- with an exploration of how to use Book Creator to design student portfolios. Attendees will view student work samples, identify which type of project is a best fit for their students, and have a hands-on opportunity to create an ebook with Book Creator. By the end of the session they'll create their own ebook, too!

Participants will learn about the Project Approach and discover how it is implemented in a high-impact, standards-based, interdisciplinary curriculum with students in grades 1-4. Presenters will share examples of lessons that harness student curiosity using inquiry and experience. They’ll share strategies for creating a classroom culture of learning from one another. Finally, presenters will guide participants to brainstorm a project topic and generate a plan for teaching an in-depth investigation by moving through the phases of the Project Approach.
